Trash, Recycling & Bulk Pick-up Information
The City of Margate has provided the following “Dos and Don'ts of Recycling & Trash.”

Our Garbage collection days are Wednesday & Saturday, using our green garbage carts.
Recycling is Wednesday using our blue carts. If you have more recyclable materials than will fit in your blue recycling container, residents are able to place recyclable materials in the dumpsters provided at Oriole Park, 7055 NW 1 Street, Margate, FL.
Our Bulk/Yard Waste Collection is only on Saturdays.
Yard waste includes shrub & tree trimmings, grass clippings, palm fronds and tree branches. Yard waste must be placed in clear plastic bags or loose at the curb. PERSONAL CONTAINERS WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED FOR COLLECTION.
Rubbish of all types must remain out of view until it is picked up by the authorized hauler. Regular garbage pick-up is Wednesday and Saturday. Do not put your garbage out until the evening before pick up and bring in your garbage pails as soon as possible.
Bulk Collection is collected every Saturday.
Bulk waste consists of household items too large to fit in your garbage cart, such as furniture, carpet, mattresses, appliances, electronics, fixtures, etc.
Do not place garbage, recyclables, hazardous waste, constructuion material, tires, etc., with your bulk waste.
PER CITY CODE, DO NOT PLACE YOUR BULK ITEMS OUT MORE THAN 3 DAYS BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED BULK DAY.
Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics Disposal
Broward County residents can drop off HHW, e-waste, yard waste, and bulk trash for free on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm. at the Broward County North Drop-Off Station, 2780 N. Powerline Road, Pompano Beach. For more information call: 954-357-8850
Cart Exchange! If you would like delivery of a cart exchange please call Republic Services to request an exchange at 954-583-1830.
Available cart sizes are: Garbage: 95 gallon, 65 gallon or 35 gallon
Recycling 65 gallon or 35 gallon
*You may request additional garbage/recycling carts for a nominal fee.
