A Message from the President for 2024
SUNFLOWER MARGATE HOA PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE FOR 2024
Times have been difficult for many of us over the last couple of years. With diseases like Covid, inflation, the political discord within the US and major wars most of us have issues that are difficult to resolve.
That’s not the case with the Sunflower Margate HOA!
The HOA is doing very well. Some of the more positive things are:
- As costs have increased on most items the HOA’s dues have not changed in five years and are the lowest of any HOA in the County.
- The HOA installed new PVC security fences on Royal Palm Boulevard & NW 18th Street in 2023. This style of fence was added to the fence types allowed in the HOA except for properties that border the lake and canals, within the HOA, without charging an assessment or raising the annual maintenance fee. The new fence should have substantially lower maintenance costs.
- Property values continue to increase within the HOA.
- The HOA replaced the old website with a new website in 2023. The new site www.royalspringssouth.com provides more information and is easier to use. Along with the website is a new e-mail address: royalspringssouth@gmail.com.
- The HOA has changed the location and times for most HOA meetings. We now meet at 7:00PM at the: Leonard Weisinger Center, 6199 NW 10th Street, Margate, FL 33063. This should be a more convenient time for most residents.
As you know the administration of the Homeowners Association is governed by a Board of Directors that are volunteers who are elected by the by the HOA’s property owners. The board selects the president, and other officers as needed to manage the affairs of the Association. Various committees are empowered by the Board to review, evaluate, recommend, or notify the members of the association of the requirements documented in the By-Laws, Covenants and Restrictions, Articles of Incorporation, and other regulations. These documents can be found on the new website.
